Description:

Route is located immediately left of Ant Encounters. For a face climb, this route has a variety of holds and features. Climb crimps, pockets, and jugs to a smooth face under a rounded ledge below the anchors. Rating is approximate until a consensus is established. Since this is a new climb, belayer beware as each hold gets tested. Name is derived from the feeling I had about the giant rotten flake/ledge just left of bolt #3 until I sent it down with a small crowbar. Someone can build a nice belay bench at the base now. 12APR2011: Updated to 5.10c after hearing some consensus on the matter and seeing solid 5.10 climbers seriously struggle.

3 out of 5 stars *

Felt like a 10c on the onsight, could be a 10b with appropriate beta.

3 out of 5 stars Still gets me...

This is a good climb but it is never the same when I climb it. I have good days on it and bad days on it. There is a variety of holds and moves on the climb which makes for fun climbing.

4 out of 5 stars sweet tricky intimidating route

Sweet, tricky, and intimidating lead even with the well spaced bolts. Nice mix of holds. Stick clip. Two others thought 10c. You get (beta spoiler) a no hands rest on the ledge, but the bouldery start felt close to 10c, then add moves and non-easy clipping...might add to 10c.
