About Backside-The Shield:
| The section immediately to the left of The News Wall. Follow the blue trail from the backside, section goes from the big access crack on the left, and ways over to the left. You can easily access all routes from the base of the back face. The routes here can also be accessed by walking over the top of the dome, stay to the left of the boulders, find a tree right by a flake. Descend flake, down onto large ledge. You can walk back and forth here to reach the tops of most climbs, including several rap stations. Large chances for 30' whippers, most routes require 2 ropes just to descend. |
