Description:
A stellar, popular route bolted by accident after a miscommunication between the bolter and land owner. Thank the gods! Shares its start with route #11 but goes left before the bulge and does not clip the bulge's fixed biner on chains. The route and its two tricky cruxes were solved onsight by Donna Kwok. It was sweet to see someone 5'4" walk a reach on one try that has stopped taller climbers. Lovecraft's stories usually include references to a dreaded book, The Necronomicon, written by the man named in this route. He recorded his sinister magical knowledge in it, and the book passed down through language translations and ages of time, usually driving its readers insane. His reward for his writings was being torn apart by an invisible slayer. Lovecraft developed interesting ways of amusing himself, didn't he?

Stellar route bolted by Dave Phillips.
Stellar route bolted by Dave Phillips. This route gets lots of compliments. Paul Brady wrote it up in his blog as one of the area's best 5.11s.
