Description:

Starts off a stepping stone, but there is an obvious cool bouldering-start extension below the ledge, starting on the left side of the cave, traversing right to the flake and up. 5.10b or 5.10c? You make the call.

5 out of 5 stars Fun.

So far thought it felt similar to prototype's steep section. I'll get back on it to see if it feels easier. Yesterday before sending it, I had notes that said 10d-11a and that may have set me thinking of a modest downgrade rather than consider 10b.

3 out of 5 stars Leap of Faith

Height dependent on how big the leap will be but have faith that it's all there. Got on this with Karl back in May. Thought maybe 10c-d range. I'll say C here as I'd rather sandbag than grade it soft. Maybe wait for more opinions.

3 out of 5 stars a nice surprise...

i had fairly low expectations before developing the route. The moves off the boulder ramp were fun. There's at least 2 variations to the start getting to the 3rd bolt. I like the shallow dihedral direction myself.

I felt like the grade is middle 5.10. I'll go with 5.10b, but that set of boulder moves at the bottom might be harder than that for a 5.10 climber. Hard to tell, it just flows so well to me.

My apologies to the climber if the upper section is still shedding some dirt. I did some heavy cleaning of rotten choss in a horizontal band just under bolt #4. There will continue to be some dirt eroding off the face for a some time despite my efforts.
