| This is a very scetchy high traverse that was bolted for safety reasons. It starts AND ends on a high ledges halfway up the cliff face high above Beaty Boulders. Right about in the middle of the area you will see a cleared trail going up to the larger of the 2 ledges where you start to the LEFT side. The cliff face is very black and tan in color. There is another trail to the bolts above the traverse to pre hang your quickdraws if you like. There is also a bolt in the wall at the left ledge for your belay station if you want to belay from there instead of from down below about 20'. The beginning of the route has good edges but becomes VERY slopy out over the middle by the 2nd bolt. Get past that and your home free. This move plus the trecherous fall down below is where we get the rating. |
