Description:

(Camheads description):This is one of Capitol Reef's funnest climbs. A right angling crack, located on a sloped corner of white Wingate sandstone. Use a 200 foot rope, or a double rope rappel for descent. There is a description of it in Bjornstad's book. (willstrickland's description): When I lived there we called it .9, most call it .10a. There's one move of .10a about 20ft up pulling a funky move from double cracks to gain a sloping jam in the main crack before easing into perfect 5.8 hands for 85'. Crux is protected by the yellow TCU. A 60m will almost put you on the ground with rope stretch. For the last few feet (descending) swing left to the tree or downclimb 4th class on the right. Pitch is about 105' and ends at two drilled angles.

happy happy, joy joy.
Okay, some dude justy informed me that there is no way in hell that htis is a 10b. Oh well. Maybe I'm just screwed up- I thought that 'Desert Rock' gave it that rating, but I may have screwed up. It was probably not that hard, because at the time I led it I was not doing mid .10s.
It still rules though.
