Preston Valley Pinnacle
About Preston Valley Pinnacle:
This is the obvious pinnacle on your left just as you pass Preston Valley campground on highway 89, and about half a mile past Kentucky Fried Penguin. Access via a steep trail that circles around the back of the pinnacle's right side. Allow 10-15 minutes for approach. Although the pinnacle itself is only forty feet or so in height, part of it has over 200 feet of exposure. Belayers should hook themselves into anchors. As always, make sure the webbing and rappel rings at the top are in good condition. |
