Talk Buttress
About Talk Buttress:
| North facing wall between the Challenge Buttress and Dead Snag areas. Most obvious feature is two right-angling cracks. Trad and mixed routes from 5.8 to 5.10d. Most routes require gear. Older bolted routes still have fixed pins and 1/4" bolts which may be missing hangers. |
| Approach: | Park at the bottom of Stairs Gulch and approach following the trail to Challenge Buttress. Take the left fork for the Challenge Buttress East Face. Continue up the trail just past the end of the main wall. Follow a climbers trail to the right (west) immediately after the last route on the Challenge Buttress. Scramble up a steep talus filled gully. The Talk Wall is the prominent north facing wall at the top of the gully. |
