Description:
Just above and to the west of the Gate boulders (below and west of dihedrals) before the schoolroom trail hits the quarry, you will find two bolted lines. Straight on for you is the line to the right. 5.8 is a total sandbag, and the route is not recommended to anyone who doesn't feel solid on 5.9/5.10 friction. FA of bolted line, Tony Calderone. Getting to and past the first bolt is NOT the crux. However, I did fall there numerous times. Due to the difficulty of getting to the first bolt, I did not pull the rope for a clean climb.
