Description:

Approach: cross highway from pull out above Nunn's park and hike up dirt road. Make your way however you want toward the small waterfall straight south. Just below the falls, find a trail along the base of the cliff band and climb the band at the shortest point (15'). Proceed left (upcanyon) to the fold. Route: pitch 1 follows easy, solid cracks up the left side. Top out on a ledge with lots of *loose* rock. Bring long webbing for the most secure belay. Pitch 2 climbs the west/north face above the belay, though there are probably good cracks up the main slab (west/south face). Rap back into the slot from webbing tied around small tree (better yet, bring your drill!). One 60 meter rope will land you on a large chockstone near the base. Downclimb from there or thread rope through a big hole for another 20' rap. DO NOT RAPPEL to the north! Your rope won't reach and you'll hang yourself down a lot of *really* rotten rock that's likely to come down on your head from time to time. Beautiful views! Bring a camera! (we forgot.) First Ascent: Shaun Roundy and Chris Barksdale.
