Route Summary | Ascent Notes (1)
James Garrett and Glen Kaplan, 13 August 2007
Rock (Trad) (Sport)
2 bolts + optional pro. Chain anchor at top.
Continuation of Coral Bells Arete. Continues up the arete and over a small roof past 2 more bolts to a new anchor. Extension added in 2007 when bolts were replaced on the arete. Route goes over the top of Chambered Nautilus so be very wary of loose rock still on the route. Much like Coral Bells the last stretch to the anchor is slightly runout, but shorter and less difficult, and can optionally be protected with small to medium pro.
Single rope rap from chains.

Feels more exposed than Coral Bells Arete. Well protected, good bolt placement. Placed one small TCU (#1) after the second bolt the first time up. Roof is fun when pumped from a "warm-up" lead of Coral Bells. Climbing is less consistent than Coral Bells, but I feel it's a worthwhile addition to the route and the area. Thanks for putting this up James and Glen!
