sweet climb...be careful in spring when the creek is high. I would rate this climb at a 5.7-. Great lead for beginners!!

Fun Lead
Took the kids to Dogwood for the easy 5.6 routes to the west of this route. I was happy to get one climb in and lead this for the first time. I would agree that only the beginning of this route is a 5.8 and unprotected until the first bolt, too. Once you get the first bolt it's a 5.7.

Good first lead
This is a good place to learn your first lead. the hardest part is the first few moves. After that there is nothing difficult. If you climb on weekends it is very difficult to get a place on this route because of the crowds.
