Description:

(copied from 'Rock Climbing Utah' by Stewart M. Green) Center Route is on a flake pinnacle on the right (south) wall near the entrance to South Fork Canyon and is visible from the parking area. The route starts at the center crack system. Begin with hard-to-protect flare to long hands and fist crack (5.10b/c) to cave hole. Finish up easy rock to the top. My own notes....the rock was a bit loose up top...lot of bits and pieces falling, I would recommend a helmet.

Descent Options:

We rapped with one rope even though the books suggests 2.

4 out of 5 stars Center Route on Rooster Pinnacle

My first 10c climb, the finger crack got my noob forearms pumped but it was still a fun and challenging climb. Loose rock wasn't cool though..
