Description:

The obvious roof to the far left from Big Bend. Good trail going up to it. Great 5.8+ to the anchors at the bottom of the overhang. 10+ up to the 10-15 ft. roof 5.11. Great hands and tricky feet through the lip and easy up to chains. One 60 m rap or free up to C2 aid to a short 5.7 pitch to the top and head right to the Organ Grinder gully.

5 out of 5 stars Hard Free, Easy Aid

Great aid route, pulls through a huge roof. The 1st pitch is 5.8 to a bolt, but then moves into a tight open book with a wide-ish crack in the back that really isn't described/rated in our guidebooks. The open book is actually tricky to aid, and is fun to free...however myself and my two buddies would rate the open book at least 5.10 trad.

Aided the route at 5.8 C2. You can get by with 2 #2-Camalot-sized cams if you bring 2 #3's. super fun and in the shade

The jams through the roof are solid, but pumpy! I used 1 #3, 1 #4, 2 #2s and 2 #1s for the roof pitch, but could have used 3-4 #2s instead of tipping out the #1s past the roof.
