About Trailside Boulders:

From the Berry Hollow parking area... Hike up the Saddle Trail and pass the Old Rag shelter. Before you come to the Byrd's Nest Shelter, you will see a big block of granite on the trail- this is the Trailside Boulder. Other boulders are located on both sides of the trail. Bring pads and good spotters. These boulders are tall.
