About China Bend:

Steep Limestone climbing on a large mix of features from Tufa Pulls to Overhang Blocks. China Bend was born as a Sport Crag on January 01 1995 through the Vision of Marty Bland, Russ Schultz, Shawn Talley and Bill Centenari. There four names come up more than 43 times on 60 routes As a Winter Sport Crag China Bend really Shines, the crag faces south, it's not uncomon to be climbing in T shirts in January. The summers are smoking hot, so can be some of the late springs/early falls. During this same time the Rattlesnakes are out. So Beware.

Directions: Go north on 395 till mile marker 245 right turn Northport-Flat Creek Rd. (if camping note FS Campgrounds) 15 miles on the right is a street sign China Bend Rd. turn right on dirt road 1.1 the crag is on your left 10 mins.

Access Issues: Starting 2012 Feb 15th thru July 31 Raptor Nesting. There was the "day" when you could just camp out down by the river... now there is a nice FS campground that needs to be used.
