Description:

At the left side of the main wall this route follows the steep arete with a huge boulder close behind. Stick clipping draws is easily done off the huge boulder. Fight the mental warefare as you climb--trying to keep your mind off that huge boulder. New bolts were added early in '07 to help keep falls shorter. The original anchors were removed and the route was extended through slabby and strangely shaped rock. Also, the sand wash of spring '07 gave a hefty umph to the start. The additional few moves at the start add more pump to this great route and definitely bump the rating from .12c/d to .12d. 5 out of 5 stars Love it!

Feet are key - and skipping two bolts where the clipping is a bit tenuous. Unless you totally eject the fall is safer that it may appear.

4 out of 5 stars The new Motley extended version

2 new moves on the bottom and two extra moves on the top and people still keep the same rating. Originally 5.12D and possibly now 13a. Who really cares what team Gay thinks anyways..
