Description:

Council of Elders; 2 pitches, 5.10a/.10c, Pitch 1) follow the scrubbed path on great climbing with big holds through the bulge that guard the belay and chains. Pitch 2) the moves off the belay can be puzzling… stem and move decisively through the lower technical crux into more fun stemming… step up and left into a slanting crack that leans slightly rightwards… pumpy, well protected climbing leads to anchors. FA: Bob Loomis, Rusty Baillie, Bob Ordner

4 out of 5 stars Sucker crack

Great route, failed to get it clean after getting sucked into what i thought was a good crack / ledge just to realize im going to have to down climb some and traverse to get where i needed to be.

5 out of 5 stars One of the classics of Big Rock.

I end up doing this one nearly every time I come to Big Rock - so fun! Its a great warm up or cool down, but its even better when done near sunset. Combining both pitches makes for one of the longer single pitches in all of Spokane.
