About Samish Wall-Oyster Dome:
Probably the biggest sheer rock face in Bellingham region. Best as I recall, it was first climbed back in the 60's and has seen only sporadic use since. A combination of trad/sport climbing will get you to the top of this wall. Routes tend towards the difficult side - easiest is ~5.10 going up to 5.13/.14. This wall may have great potential for development as a climbing area. There are also possibilities of spelunking in the caves located in the talus at the base of the cliff. Watch out for the bat guano! |

Chuckanut Drive approach (1 to 1.5 hours): Go south on Chukanut Drive past Larrabee State Park and the Oyster Creek Inn. Past the Oyster Bar Restaurant, park in the small pullout on the right.
