About Third Tower (Anvilhead):

Viewed from the road, the apparantly tallest and most dominant of the spires in the eastern line. Lies just uphill of the split in flakes above the OW end of the Second Tower.
Approach: Park on 33 W well off the road in the really nice pullout. Lock your car and hide your valuables, avoid the obvious fecal bombs, cross the stream and either march up the line of fins and walls or skirt the talus field left along the forest and cross when parallel to your destination.
