My first red point
I worked this on TR on a couple previous trips. With the sequence and gear worked out ahead of time, the moves felt solid and the gear safe. The crux is technical and hard, but not pumpy--just my style. The ascent style leaves much to be desired, but I hope it will be a stepping stone to better climbs.

Technical and hard crux moves
Fun route. Top roped to try to prepare for an autumn redpoint. Got all the moves individually, but could not link them. I was feeling weak. Will come back and wire it. Pro looks good if you know where to look for it.
Labor Day update: came back and got it clean on TR first go. Then got back on it 20 minutes later and fell at the crux 3 times. I don't understand this route! Not looking forward to the redpoint attempt. I don't know if Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde will show up!
9/11/2010 update: Tried the route on lead twice. Failed both attempts. Placed a crucial keyhole nut in a vital handhold on both attempts...plus, I just wasn't strong enough. I think I'll get it next time, though. My partner had great success. Congratulations, Dan!

Thanks for the help, Paul
After cruising this on TR, Paul's tight belay helped me find my way up this difficult climb.

Ascent Note
Got all of the moves down, but hung a few times before I figured them out. Next time...
