| Great area for bouldering. Two great roofs to traverse. Try to can find a copy of Chris Anthony's "Sketches". Stop at Waterstone Outdoors in Fayetteville. They might -emphasize might - have a copy available. |
| Approach: | From Fayetteville (at the intersection of Rte's 16 and 19), continue along Rte 19 for approx 2 miles. Take the first left after crossing the New River Gorge Bridge. The turn comes up on you fast, so keep your eyes open for it. You'll enter the NPS Burnwood camping/general use area. Pass the ranger station and follow the gravel road to the pavilion. You'll see a trail leading from the back side of the pavilion. The bouldering area is only a couple meters from the woodline. |
