About Summersville Lake Area:
| this place isn't actually in the Gorge, but it's in the guide book. it'a about 20 miles of fayettville (which has a couple awesome climbing shops to gear up at) on 19. Parking for this place is on the NE side of the bridge. after a mile or so hike you'll find yourself near some awesome sport leads (some haven't even been named yet), and a great place to swim and cliff dive if you find yourself needing to take a swim. there's also about 15 or 20 trad routes and 3 or so mixed routes plus the 65 or so SL routes. There is another Summersville database that can be linked from the West Virginia homepage. That database is significantly larger that this one. Please check it out. |
