Description:
5.9+ R. Starts at the tree at the top of the first pitch of West Pole. Climb straight up the face between Thais face and West Pole to a good size ledge (same ledge as the top of West Pole). Climb a decent handcrack to a short right traverse, then thin crack move to thin face. The first pitch is runout.

Bring on the fun
Yes, 1st pitch is great. There is a bit of loose rock and I had to run it out a bit on small gear, but the climbing there is no harder than 5.7. 2nd pitch was incredible!! Took a couple falls at the crux before I found the hidden hold - maybe I'll post the video. You can climb yourself into a jam if you can't find it and don't get suckered into the very thin seam on the right side at the crux. Anyway one of my most memorable leads.

Ascent Note
Highly recommended. The first pitch is fun but runout. West Pole is a good alternate to get to the beautiful second pitch.
