Description:

It's the climb on the cover of Swartling's guidebook, SoGC is different from most DL climbs in that it offers steep climbing on positive holds. This climb is on the protruding formation about 20 yards south of the survey marker. From the base facing the north side of the formation, start on the ledge to your left. Move up on positive holds, past the first two pitons, and eventually around the arete and onto the north face. Pull up onto a small ledge for an awkward rest, then through the crux finger crack. Traverse over to the right-hand arete and follow positive holds on both sides of the arete to the top.
