Description:

This climb was put up on 7/17/58 by Jody Langford's dad(Jim Langford) and John Gill. The ridge is just east of the Surprise Lake outlet and the route follows directly up its crest to the large flake at the top. Six pitches are required to reach the base of the flake. Climb the overhanging flakes by utilizing balance holds on its east face. After this it is basically scrambling up and to the right for several hundred feet to the top of the buttress.
