About Flaming gorge Mustang Ridge:
On the eastern side of Flaming Gorge Resevoir, this underdeveloped area features dozens of untouched boulders with problems of all grades. In addition, a short wall (20 - 50 feet tall) lines the east edge of the area, providing highball wall bouldering, as well as the potential for considerable route development. While technically in Utah, the closest town of any size is Rock Springs, WY. As such, the climbing around Flaming Gorge has been adopted by the southwest wyoming locals. As boulders are discovered and problems are named, this area will change considerably. |
