About Cerro pantojo:

Cerro Pantojo is a 300 meter high rock tower, located just in the border with Argentina. The mountain is inside the Puyehue National Park in a very wild area, with no roads or trails. The rock is decent but no excellent, however just being there is fantastic. Have one known route, but the possibilities are many. Trad climbing.
Nearest town or city: Osorno
Directions: You get there via the international highway to Bariloche, Argentina, passing the chilean custom house, but never crossing to Argentina, so the chilean police retain your ID/passport until you come back. When you are in the border, needs to hike through dense forest to the south (you can see the tower almost from everywhere) for about five hours, crossing some streams and lava hills. In the base of the Pantojo tower, you can place a tent or your sleeping bags, and climb the next day. Needs a full rack of cams (0 to 4), stoppers, some knifeblades are good option, 10 meters of rappel cordellete at least (there three rappel bolts, every 55 meters more or less) and two 60 meters rope.
