About Caleta Los Hornos:
Caleta los hornos is a small cove about 30 kilometers north of La Serena along highway 5, this area acts as a counterpoint to the Pampilla of Coquimbo, there is trad climbing to be had here on large probably unexplored walls, and bouldering to enjoy on the blocks and boulders that litter both sides of the highway. Good oportunities to open new routes, rock quality unknown.
As an added bonus, this area is close to punta choros and isla choros, here you can charter a boat ride to between the cove and the island, you are almost guaranteed to see dolphins on this trip. Area Resources: Water and Food is available at Caleta Los Hornos, a short distance to the north. All services and supplies can be obtained in La Serena.
