About Espalones:

The lower section of San Gabriel mountain, where the stream flows. It's about a 20min walk from Puente de San Gabriel.
Nearest town or city: San Gabriel
Directions: From Santiago Metro station Las Mercedes: take a collective (fixed-rate taxi) to Puente de San Gabriel (the bridge just before the village). Or, from the same metro station, take the MB72 San Gabriel bus and ask to get off at the bridge before San Gabriel
Latitude, Longitude:
Access Issues: This seems to be on private property, but climbers, who must past through a broken section of barbed wire fence, have never had access issues. It is not uncommon to see campers staked out on the approach trail or the rocks down by the stream. Access seems OK.
