About Canoas (Soacha):

Canoas is just an amazing boulder area really near to Chuzaca. It has hundreds of boulders still waiting for those rock adicts. It is a limestone park, as almost all rock climbing areas in Colombia, and the rock has good quality, constecture and adherence. Its in a dry area but the temperatures never gets high than 24 C. You will find almost all kind of forms there, lots of slabs, overhanging rock and roofs, with slopers, edges, jugs, a crimps... You surely will find fun there. There's a "parking lot" just a 100 meters away from the first boulder area, and there's a guard that for just $5000 pesos (USD 3) will check your car all the day. Please do not damage the ancient drawings in the rocks, and the park is trash free, so keep it that way!... Still there's no topo available, but i will see if i start drawing one (if someone else is not working on it right now). SE RECOMIENDA CUIDADO, HA HABIDO PROBLEMAS DE SEGURIDAD (ROBOS...) EN ESTA ZONA.
