The Rocodromo is a unique climbing area. It is a manmade stone castle in a park in the middle of Quito. Routes have been bolted on it and there are bars along the top for toproping. And now they just built new climbing walls next to this rocks, they are huge and have a variety of routes, verticals for begginers, roofs and nice inclines for experts. Its definitely worth going. Im from Quito, and a friend from Colorado was amazed by it. It costs just $1,50 to get in. If you are a member of any climbing club its 50 cents.
Grab a taxi, they are really cheap, and tell him to take to the Coliseo Rumiñahui, when you see this big coliseum, right infront you will see some tall blue walls. Also you can tell the taxi to take to the Pista de los Chasquis, its a running track, and the rocodromo its next to it. Also there are two buses that go by it, one of them is called San Carlos bus.
