About The Original Section:

The original section of the Rocodromo was constructed in rock-wall fashion from volcanic rock and concrete. A number of faces are equipped with rebar (iron bar) loops for sport climbing, and bars along the upper perimeter for top-rope anchoring. Height ranges from about 4 to 10 meters. There are very few marked routes. Just about every face can be climbed by the average climber using whatever holds necessary, however any number of demanding routes can be imagined by limiting hold use. The natural volcanic rock provides a lot of friction (good) but results easily in skin abrasion (not so good).
