unknown 1 (5.10c)

A worthwhile route on the lower part of Higher Wire, or "Left Wire" in Mabe's guidebook. Much better (and steeper!) than it looks from the ground.

Counting from the right, this is the 1st route on the wall. The name and FA are unknown.

Start just uphill of "unknown 2" at some broken ledges just left of a prominent corner. Scramble up to the first clip, then work up a vertical face and mostly big holds. The route wanders from side to side a bit. The angle gradually steepens, and the crux comes at the last bolt, on overhanging, pumpy climbing. Moving right here is a little easier than climbing directly past the bolts.

unknown 2 (5.11b)

Definitely the best route on the lower part of Higher Wire, or "Left Wire" in Mabe's guidebook. Much better (and steeper!) than it looks from the ground.

Counting from the right, this is the 2nd route on the wall. The name and FA are unknown.

Begin in a large v-shaped dihedral just right of the prominent arete. Climb the dihedral and arete into a small corner, then engage the overhanging face above. A hand traverse past the 6th bolt (be careful - a fall here will cause you to swing into the wall of the corner) leads to pumpy moves on good edges and sidepulls. Gain the top edge, and hand traverse right to the anchors.
