Angela Eiter (Austria) and Mina Markovic (Slovenia) followed in second and third on the women's side, with Sachi Amma (Japan) and Ramón Julian Puigblanque (Spain) taking silver and bronze in the men's division.

This is Schubert's fifth Lead World Cup win in a row—he took first in Chamonix, Briancon, Xining, Changzhi, and Puurs—and he placed second at the Arco World Championships. He is currently first in rankings by a sizeable margin. Puiqblanque is second, followed closely by Amma.

Kim has placed either first or second in the last four Lead World Cups. With Markovic's five podium finishes this year, she is only slightly ahead of Kim in the rankings—only 10 points apart, to be exact. Maja Vidmar (Slovenia) follows in third by a fairly large gap.

The only American to compete in Puurs was Sasha DiGiulian, who finished in sixth. She has only medaled in one Bouldering World Cup this year (and took first in the overall World Championships), but is 13th in the lead rankings.

Up next is the Lead World Cup in Boulder, Colorado, which is the first LWC to be hosted on American soil in more than 20 years. The comp will be held at Movement Climbing + Fitness on October 8 and 9. Most of the top names in climbing, both international and American, will be competing.
