The signing of the Cederberg Management Plan by Cape Nature in Southern Africa, means climbers will now have access to a set amount of pre-approved sport routes at Rocklands and Truitjieskraal.

This is a great opportunity for the Mountain Club of South Africa to be working conjunct with Cape Nature, and in order to ensure this new deal is respected there are a few guidelines for making most of the opportunity.

Being Southern Africa, much of the area is covered with the protected fynbos as well as other flora and fauna, so no fires or smoking and no cutting paths.

Boulderers are requested to take good care and not drag with ground mats and last but not least no permit means no bolting and no entry. Play by these rules and the new routes await!
