These fools are all for abortion, saying "The woman must have control over her body, she can do what she wants with it". Well, recently, when the FDA decided that silicon breast implants were safe after all and reapproved them, N.O.W. went nuts, asking the FDA to rethink their position and that allowing these implants was demeaning to women, etc. Hey morons, what happened to a woman having control over her own body?
I think N.O.W. was formed to help ugly women get dates or something.

You pimp. how do you get anything done on rc.com? what with the no doubt avalance of date requests you must get. What with being so sensitive and understanding oof womens positions. Atleast when bumblie says something outrageous he can KINDA back it up.
The FDA is an organization made up of people in a governemtn. They make mistakes. And they are subject to pressure from politicians and private industry.

Probably not much, since they got stuck with the tab for hundreds of millions of dollars in lawsuit settlement awards. The follow up study showed no links between silicone implants and the myriad of health problems attributed to them. Here's an interesting essay about the whole deal at Reason.

The issue here is in perspective. a 2 month old fetus is not a baby. It's a rather gelatinous blob of cells. So much like I don't care that every year millions of chickens are slaughtered for the feast that is my Chicken McNugget. I care even less that however many fetuses are flushed down the proverbial toilet.

Agreed. The only lives I give 2 sh*ts about are my own and those of the people I interact with on a personal level. Most everyone likes to act as if they think human life is precious. That all human life is precious. But come on, past Princess Diane or some astronauts when people die it isn’t news. Everyday 10’s of thousands of people are dieing. Loving grandmothers, great best friends, secret lovers, dieing all the time still ain’t news. Interesting question…Why is it when a woman does it it’s an abortion. But when a chicken does it it’s an omelet.
The real problem today is people with attitudes like yours. Instead of attempting to understand me you’ve throw the (good) book at me, started name calling, and label me as the root of all of today’s ills. The boys in columbine are a direct result of people with your way of looking at things excluding those that are different than the group and then demonizing them.

Read an interesting article yesterday regarding the "sanctity of marriage" argument.
As we know, divorce rate in U.S. is 51%. It's higher though in the bible belt, southern, conservative states. In Oklahoma it's over 70%.
Europe, with it's preponderance of liberal, "socialist" societies, many of which already allow gay marriage, has much lower divorce rates than the U.S. Most of them are below 40%.
Seems like if we want to save the sanctity of marriage we need to allow gays to marry, post haste.
