well with Anne psyching me out like that I thought I'd make sure this time   MOrnINg EverYBodY! Hey anne nice ta see ya around this morning...! I'm sitting back with mah cup o'tea and not trying hard not to get up to anything. it's actually not that difficult since i'm in the middle of nowhere. Plus the fact that I don't smoke anymore (again) been six days. (ok so i've had 2 smokes in that time, but hell i used to smoke a pack a day, and now nothing for the last 2 days) check the mouse traps and set up new ones is about the excitement for the day

Morning yinz. Second day in a row they cancelled school where my wife works. Yesterday was for ice storms that never came. Today is for flooding. I hope the groundhog takes to higher ground. She wouldn't be able to make it anyway. The major highway between her and there is closed due to flooding. Of course there's never flooding from my house to the office. Damn storm drains. Have a good one.

She's got a stuffy nose, but is doing pretty good. She had a Dr. apt yesterday. She's now 10lb 8oz and 14 1/2" long Average for her weight, but in the 97th percentile for her height. She's gonna be tall. She's starting to out grow some of her clothes. She had to get some shots, too. I'm so glad I wasn't there. :x A side effect is they make her really sleepy and she slept most of the evening and night. She finally woke up wide awake at 3:00AM. Needless to say, I'm not so wide awake.

In reply to: In reply to: She's now 10lb 8oz and 14 1/2" long is that a typo ryan?? don't you mean 24 1/2 inches??? I was gonna ask the same thing, since my boys were 20½ and 22½ at birth, 14½ seems kinda low?? Morning folks. Went to bed at midnight with not a flake in sight, figured the weather folks were full of shit, as usual. Woke up with 5" on the ground, already late for work and with a whole driveway to clear. Thankfully it was so light I was able to put the snowblower in 6th and sprint up and down the driveway. Whole thing done, including sidewalks, in 30 minutes. Still snowing here, not supposed to change over for a few hours yet, then sleet and freezing rain. Roads ALREADY suck, commute home should be a BLAST! I Actually got stuck going uphill on my way in. Just stopped, wheels spinning. Had to back down the hill and get a running start up the other lane. Need new tires. Anyway I'll take the usual if there is any. Thanks.

In reply to: ...Went to bed at midnight with not a flake in sight, figured the weather folks were full of s---, as usual. Woke up with 5" on the ground,... dude, I was checking the weather regularly yesterday , online, and the predictions were pretty much right on. both sites I check daily said snow beginning after midnight with 5-10 of accumulation by the morning. "and so it was, as the prophecy foretold!" I dunno what weather you watch, but you need some new sources. either that, or you just like to bitch about the weather predictions and don't really pay attention to whats said. ;-) dude, about new tires. I just ordered 4 for the Beetle from tirerack.com, and even having them mounted and balanced around here, I'm gonna come out $60-80 to the good (I got a full set of Kumho 205-55/16s -a very good Korean borand, they have a street-legal slick that's very popular with SCCA solo-2 autocrossers). check it out! the shipping to MA from their deleware supply depot is very reasonable. I ordered the tires last friday, and they showed up last night via UPS 3-day ground (the default delivery method).

ah crap, it's turned to freezing rain. I got loki out for a few runs around the house before it turned though! Faked a power outage here to get out of doing work :) haha! In the process of trying to hurry up and get out with loki (who then wanted to jump around and not pull... I need another dog to motivate her I think), I managed to rip my rain pants/snow pants (lowe alpine) on the break for the sled. Fukkn' a there's $80 rainpants down the drain. Duct tape here I come!

I dunno what weather you watch, but you need some new sources. either that, or you just like to b---- about the weather predictions and don't really pay attention to whats said. ;-) Granted I was a little spaced last night but last I heard was snow starting "evening" and continuing light through the night. 1-2" accumulation. Or maybe I imagined that entirely, denial because I didn't wanna snowblow the driveway this AM.
In reply to: dude, about new tires. I just ordered 4 for the Beetle from tirerack.com, and even having them mounted and balanced around here, I'm gonna come out $60-80 to the good I'm looking into that. My brother is a manager for Discount Tire out in Seattle http://www.discounttiredirect.com and he says he can get me wholesale discounts off the web prices with free shipping. Waiting to hear from him on that. Prices look the same as Tirerack.com so if he can get discounts below that even, I'm in.

Hello kids! Congrats on the house T!!! I love my house. I can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else, you'll love it. Yay for you! Supposed to get snow here today. Yay!! Getting ready to toboggan on the weekend but need more on the hill we go to. Woke up to +1 but will drop to -20 tonight. What strange weather we have here. Marge, wish the skiing were as good here, we don't have nearly as much snow as you do down there. Wish you were closer, I'd come out for a weekend. Wide, I always run winter tires in the winter and change for summer. Makes a huge difference. I have the yokohama guardex but I think my next set will be some finish ones that are supposed to be awesome.

But for the last couple of winters I lost interest in buying clothes for those temperatures... would cost too much to get something that fits. Think I'll just hide myself till march before I get outside again. Maybe next winter I'll give it a try again. If it weren't just that expensive to get outa here. No car, no clothes, no skies, no nothing. Gotta get a better job maybe  - Daniel

my manager already left, and told me to leave early as well. what a cool boss i have! i don't think the snow is really accumulating... i can't tell since i'm on the top floor - can't see anything when you look at the window... he told us to leave early since the driving is bad, even though i can walk home. anyway, my sweetie is already close by - he went to the gallery today, isn't that the coolest?? we're going to meet up for dinner later. i'm so happy to have a guy that'll go to the art gallery on his own for an afternoon....

In reply to: Most snow I've seen this season was in Vegas. Hahahaha. Well Erik, Red Rock isn't very red right now. The snow everybody is complaining about came through here a few days ago and we are supposed to get more in the form of rain in the city and snow in the mountains again starting tomorrow. I'd normally be upset about the snow in Red Rock keeping me from climbing, but I have a broken wrist and can't climb anyway. So I think it's purdy up there.
