Okay, here's this years rc.com xmas thread. Started early so instead of just spraying about what we got for christmas (anyone remember the year some kid's grandma got him the cali dream rack? jealous!) we can also be all festive and stuff, so... uhhh... Merry Christmas! So far I've bought myself for xmas- powerstretch socks, boxers, shirt, patagona mixed master pants, some capaline pants, and a few biners and some flops from madrock. I'm expecting a *gasp* link cam from my GF but am not sure! Everyone report back in a few days and let us know what l00t you picked up

I'm getting: New flip flops. A capilene top. Lip balm. A $20 gift certificate for Barnes and Noble. A $20 donation to some African charity in my name. And ~20 lbs. of candy that went straight into the trash can. It's going to be a weak year for receiving gifts, I'm afraid. To prevent self-pity, I'm going to pick up a couple of pulleys and an El Cap poster (http://www.diamondproductionstudios.com/img/ElCapLarge.jpg) for my office

My wife says it's the first time in years that there are no climbing gifts. I could have ordered some little things but didn't. I have enough on my rack, I have three pair of decent shoes, I have two ropes I can lead on, and some others for top roping, and I have two decent harnesses. Harness next year I think. I could use a cpl 4' slings and have been thinking about some enty aid gear. My wife and I are trading cash. I hope you get what you want. Merry Christmas.

With a little bit of snoopin around I know I got a sigg waterbottle, Perfecto movie, chalk, women of rock climbing calender and a new red rope for a month at Red Rocks in March. I wonder what else the wifey got me? Merry Christmas to all

'Twas the night (ok, day) before Christmas.... It's going to be a lean holiday season in the shorty household -- both of my sisters' businesses are struggling, my parents' retirement funds aren't exactly leaping upwards in value, and my company will be closing down in a few weeks. Bottom line -- we're not exchanging gifts this Christmas. My elder sister has pretty much decided that she's going to retire from the climbing thingie, and she said it's time that she give me her climbing rack. As tough as this is to state, I really can't accept it gratis since I know what she has invested in it (3rd generation Camalots, Metolius TCUs, WC stoppers, Petzl spirit biners). I'll try to work something out with her and buy the rack at a reasonable price. Lord knows she needs the money. So I guess my Christmas present will be a spotless backup rack for a deeply discounted price. I think I hear Indian Creek calling. Either that or I need to chill on the bolted routes and start putting up more trad lines. Merry Christmas to all.

I got a DAS Parka and am getting a Canon 70-300mm. And enough money, I would imagine, to get a new crashpad.

Yep... I was Stallone's stunt double, actually. Tough job, but somebody's gotta do it...

So I got myself 12 new pairs of Smartwools and a gym membership. I received $1,000 (car repair money in September), a large amount of candy (goes straight to the community table at work) and my AAA super triple platinum membership renewal. I also actually get to see my family for more than 12 hours this year. I am looking forward to it. Merry Christmas everyone! Safe travels, enjoy the holidays!
