Attention all...We are now honored with a member from the Great State of New York attending our meeting in SLC!!! Newtons_law, or Jerry as he likes to be called, will be gracing us with his presence, but he is a boulderer, thus has chalk and shoes. I have an extra harness...hopefully some of you have an extra ATC that we can hook this fella up with. He got out of work by telling the principal of his school where he teaches that he had a sick friend in Utah, hehe, and from what I've seen so far..he has many sick friends out there... On a less positive note...start doing the SUNSHINE dance...Snowbird in LCC got pounded with 17 inches of snow yesterday by the time I got a call at 6pm MST!!!! 12 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! edited because gerald goes by Jerry not Gerry...go figure, but hey...I hate it when ppl spell my name ann...and most of the time it's family members...hehe [ This Message was edited by: climbinganne on 2002-05-30 18:51 ]

So are we going to be skiing now??? Maybe we better break out the ice gear!!!! woodsE Oh I almost forgot, what are the roads to AF and LCC like? Bambina and I are driving the taurus so I'm hoping they're not too rough otherwise we may have to ditch the car somewhere and thumb it into the canyon!

roads are paved woodse, no worries. However if the weather continues as it has been you may need to bring chains for your tires.

Hey, Im a SL local, i live about 5 min drive from BCC, 10min to LCC. Ive been climbin for a about a year, and i can sport up too 5.9. I know about rappin' and stuff, but i was just wondering if some one wanted to show me some more skills on either day. Im only 14 but i could probally find a ride to either canyon. I havent done a multi-pitch yet...i dont really have a rack, some lockers 6 draws shoes, ect. So if anyone wanted to show me around, thatd be nice, if not, no worries laterz [ This Message was edited by: fingerjam on 2002-05-25 18:40 ]

Getting closer!!! OK I can get the time off from work, but before I get a ticket I want to know if anyone will be there the weekend previous, or any locals want to do me the honor of the pre-gathering tour? I'm hot off the heels of the Gunks gathering and itching for Utah but my tix will be expensive so want to make it longer than a weekend so it's worthwhile. I'm hoping to book a tix in the next couple of days if I'm going to make it there.

I am really stoked to have you guys on our turf... Utah is beautiful Everyone, please don't hesitate to write down some numbers if you get in a pinch. Pager: 801)2411518 (local SLC) Cell: 801)9717425 (local SLC) My truck holds alot of gear, but 2 passengers at max. (seatbelts required... sorry) I dont mind being a shuttle to Tanner's flat for those in a pinch. A taxi ride might cost you a $50 bill (or more). You can buy me alot of beer for that much dough.. Warning... I plan to be cimbing by Thursday, so my ride duty availability is mostly after dark... or before Thursday. My plans are to take Thursday, Friday off and do easy trad stuff...(possibly with Fo_D & Spouse? any other takers?) in LCC and then on Saturday and Sunday learn some stuff from you Frakenstein-types (bolt heads). I want to send a 5.10a/b/c Gabe
