Ced...good point about the library. I guess I just get frustrated that Climbing magazine is getting thinner at the same time the percentage of ads to content is rising. Pickup a mag from '92 or earlier and you'll see what I mean.

I agree with BradHill and DSafanda. I do read Climbing and R&I, but I find a lot of the stuff in there pretty boring and worthless (comps, profiles of sport climbers, who flashed the latest 5.14 etc . . . yawwwwwwn . . ).
HOWEVER, every time I try to subscribe to Alpinist, I get an Error 404. Anyone else getting this??

I figured I better put my money where my mouth is. I just tried to subscribe and got the same error.
Doesn't say much for the notion of quality and detail does it?
Yikes! There isn't even an e-mail address that will allow one to let them know about the problem. That's sort of pathetic. Too bad.

I got that error too...I think it's good that their website has problems...maybe it means they're out climbing instead of staring at a monitor like me!

hehe, I was going to write & see if they needed any help with the website until I found out there's no email address!!
maybe the whole thing is a big scam masterminded by B.com. Think I'll wait till you guys get your first issue before I subscribe . . .
