speaking of grit, someone post a shot of "not to be taken away"

that is proud for the grade. and beautiful.

the proudest V0- I've ever seen: sketchpad @ Sherman Acres.

so the story goes, Bruce Pottenger designed the first "sketchpad" for John Sherman to be used on the FA of this obscure Buttermilks classic.

not to be taken away @ Stanage Plantation. This shot doesn't really do the height of it justice.

Alot of very nice looking lines here but that first picture of the drilled route makes me want to retch......What a waste of a good line.

It has been said. I'll say it again. Those are quarry holes. The Mormons quarried some of the blocks in LCC to build the temple. The cool thing about that problem and others (e.g. shot hole arête) is that the people who "chipped" the holes were not climbers. The climbers came and found those lines much later. They happen to be quite good b/c people didn't make the holds with climbing in mind.
on another note, here is some more fodder...

well, seeing as how we've got the Christian Climbers advertising on our site, and how "pride" is one of the seven deadly sins, I think you'd better just delete this post.

Whats your problem with Christian climbers and advertising? Let them be already.

That photo is mine, of my brother Jeff on it. It's one of the best problems I've ever done. Perfect granite crimps on a tall face.
