I'm supprised there are not more like me that keep it under the bed! I think its the best for me as im in a dorm room and space is limited so it keeps it out of the light and them UV rays that can weaken it.

I keep the basic top roping stuff in a pack ready to go by teh back door. I keep everything else in large tupperware tubbs that I throw in teh back of my truck when I go on a trip or anything more extensive than top roping.

I keep moving my gear shrine. It was on a shelf in the garage. But then it didn't fit anymore, and it seemed lonely in the garage. Now I am keeping it in the basement next to my climbing wall. It's hard to get outside this time of year, so now I can fondle it in between indoor climbs.

My hardware is in a ruck sack, my ropes hang somewhere in a closet. When it's time to go I shove my rope in the bag and head out.

In my truck, in the middle of my living room floor and in some big Rubber Maid containers. Depends how motivated I feel to put it all away. No point in it if you are going climbing soon.

Most of my gear is stowed on hooks in the space behind my basement woody. That includes a crash pad and a big box with extra holds. Camping gear is in the big plastic storage containers on utility shelves on the other side of the basement. Shoes and chalk bucket ride up front with me in my truck since I pass my local gym on the way home from work every day... by pass, I mean stop and climb for an hour or two.

...but someday, maybe I'll be THIS organized: http://www.gearstash.com/ That's what would happen if a climber's pad was remodeled by a team of flaming interior designers... someone should do a show about that!

Most is hanging in the garage. My alpine gear is kept in a hypobaric chamber to maintain it's high altitude effectiveness. 8)

In my fireman's style setup to go climbing, I have it in a pack that is hung in reverse on my jacket and shirt... so as to allow the entire top of my outfit on easily while putting on my underwear, pants, socks and shoes at the same time because they are tuck into each other ontop of my shoes. The onlything about the bottom of the outfit is that you have to tuck the pants inside the socks. I can wake up to a knock at my window and be outside in under 30 seconds. I am outside before i know I'm awake... oh yeah lunch is ready to go in the fridge.

actaully there's a hook in the corner of my bedroom that holds my equipment. It casts reflections from the moon at night and gives me good dreams.
