i dont know. the chance of rain is only around 30% right now... and its suppose to come later in the afternoon. climbing will start about ten and finish around 2. my friend had an idea that if it rains... moving the comp to a climbing gym near by. .. so i'm gonna email brad mc... and see what he says.

oh how i wish i was able to go do this i actually hit boat rock for the first time today and every one i ran into (all 2 of them) mentioned the comp but here in atl 99X (radio staion) has had ads for a sale that high country is doing and since high country is the sponsor its been mentioned as well but i was curious as to what gyms were nere by the nearest i can think of is ATL rocks but that doesnt have to much in the way of bouldering. but yeah its gorgeous here right now and there shouldnt be any rain this weekend (im sad i wont be able to go)

Good chance alot of climbing will be done before the clouds/rain roll in. Most recent forecast says it will be dry in the morning time when the comp starts, lets hope so anyhow, I'll be there regardless.

Weather at Boat Rock was beautiful today. Hopefully it will hold off until tomorrow afternoon. Forecast now says it'snot suppose to rain until afternoon, about when the actual climbing part of the comp will be wrapping up. Last weekend was perfect BR weather, cold a crisp; slopers stuck like jugs. L.J.

i went to boat rock today and noticed that there were labels on all the runs i assume that this is leftover from the comp but either way i think the things are uber and should be laminated or something cuase its really cool to know the ratings of each run just thought id put that out there

I personally prefer to not have labels and I don't think brad has any intention of leaving them up for good. To me it distracts from the area, it's not a gym. Sometimes I prefer not knowing the ratings and just climbing. As already mentioned, people can get topos. Though Dr Topo has one, a more recent copy can usually be picked up at Atlanta Rocks or other local shops / gyms for a small donation to the SCC. L.J.

yeah man... rating stink. they get stuck in my head sometimes and i drive myself to climb something b/c it's "hard" (relative to me of course)... some the best probs i've ever done were ones that looked cool so i just jumped on them not knowing anything bout it. .. besides not knowing ratings helps me to only compare myself to me. in which case i'm usually climbing better than the day before, so i go home feeling like a pro... even though i'm not. haha
