In reply to: In reply to: In a High Tech world full of MP3's, a Portable Radio is a great way to ensure distance from blind obedient crowds. It will set you apart, and the Radio will at you fingertips. Niiiiiice. Someone should make that their signature. Done and done.... thanks :)

Ok, I couldn't help myself: after reading his description of his "not for climbing" rope, I sent him a message. We'll see if he replies. Cheers, A.W.

In reply to: wow this guy is nuts!! here is some real ammunition for the TRAD vs sport debate (he says "I am selling these because I am too scared for Trad climbing (sport climbing’s for me"). but then... in his petzl harness action comes with a "Wild Country Belayer" WOW, so wild country not only makes belay devices, they also make belayers!! until now, we have just joked about belay slaves, but now you can buy a belay slave on ebay!! I want one, I need one, I must have one NOW

I'm retracting my bid. He took off the homemade hex. I hope he'll sell in another auction.

In reply to: In reply to: In reply to: Hi. I'm the current high-bidder. How did I get fooled? 3 Wild Country Forged Friends for $49. What's wrong with that ? But, I didn't notice the photoshop'ed biner. As long as you know they're not BD then you didn't get fooled.....hopefully :? If I get them and they turn out to *not* be Wild Country Forged Friends (e.g. some kinda eastern European knock-offs), then the credit card charge is reversed and he gets negative feedback. Good thing you retracted your bid, and did not win. Paypal will generally NOT reverse your CC charge. Paypal has received much criticism for this practice, which allows dishonest eBay merchants to rip off unwary customers. Keep this in mind, and use caution before you bid next time.

Personally, I would never buy any used climbing gear! (Black Diamond or anything else!)

this guy is out of control! my favorite is his description of the shoes:
In reply to: It is very nice (maybe too nice to be worn) wtf??
In reply to: I will include with this a climbing carabiner that can help start or finish your climbing rack. It has a nice golden gate (haha) that matches the writing on the side and the pull things on the back of the shoe. cause you know, when i buy carabiners, i make sure they match the "pull things" on the backs of my shoes. i generally match my cams to the writing on the sides of the shoes though... i also like the advice about buying your first pair of shoes. and remember, in climbing:
In reply to: If you're just starting out, look for a durable, comfortable rock update edit: if you look at his other transactions, it appears that he bought the shoes and the petzl harness from someone else and is trying to sell them as his own- why?? check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/...0816&item=7210722494

"I did research a couple of weeks ago and my results showed that my cams matched the color. " ...and I thought I was driving some 'ol crapy white car. That was until I saw the white Lamborghini. Of course only Lamborghini can make white cars.. right?

In reply to: P.S. I have gotten mail from many saying that this is not a Black Diamond set. Thank you for the information. I wouldn't have put it in if I didn't think it was true. I did research a couple of weeks ago and my results showed that my cams matched the color. It may have been an older site or I must of seen something different, Otherwise I have no idea what happened. Sorry for the inconvenience. |:( Just goes to show you that you can't trust everything you read on the internet. Just this week, I read that Russia was under control by a flock of geese. http://www.theonion.com/content/node/38944 This has got to be true, right?

I would be very wary of this seller. It so happens that I've dealt with him before. I sold him some Trango Classic wiregates a few months ago. I disclosed their full history, being barley used but not new. Seems odd that after that he starts selling trango classic wiregates... I can only assume. After reading how he describes them, as "Brand New," I find it hard to trust the words he strings together. I'm must say that after talking to him on the phone I'm not surprised. He obviously has no rock climbing knowledge and is trying to make a quick buck reselling used gear. ^^ike

I got a reply to my inquiry of the maker. Get this, He dosn't know! How could he not know?, unless they are cheap knock-offs. Every peice of hardware out there has a 'maker mark' on it. I think the consensus is, Do Not Buy From This Bozo
