Well I didn't in fact make my laps at the end of the night. My Poor dogs were just freakin' killing me by 7 or so.. oh the pain... Dann , Les, I don't know how you guys do it... i hope they stretch out lots and quick... this might be some very painful climbing for a while. Les tried getting me up that yellow 5.9 comp route... didn't happen, but i made a couple 5.8's. I'll see everyone monday, that is if my feet stop aching.. and they turn back to their normal skin tone, (read... NOT ORANGE!!!!!)

 Like, "how to get them home afterwards" I'd imagine...

Well, you probably need to wait to get them in on the "Spring" session of the climbing team now anyway which, I think (but I'm not sure) starts in April. Anne will be 16 by then (ya old man ;) ). You can just have her follow you up in the van and then afterwards she can drive Matthew home.

    Hahaha, hahaha, yeah, I know what yer thinkin' dude! But fact of the matter is, It is time grasshoppa, for you to face reality! (sorry 'bout the "old man" thing! I should talk; technically, I have a 17yr old step daughter myself... good thing her mother has the sense enough to not let her get her license yet)

All I have to say about that Tim is "No Pain, No Gain!" I guess the real key is to literally put it out of your mind. DO NOT think about it. What did your grandma always tell ya? "If ya fail, try, try again!" (or something like that) right? Well, she was right! This statement goes right along with the No Pain, No Gain thing. The raw fact: if you wanna be a climber, you ARE gonna feel some pain, and you ARE gonna have to try again! That's all there is too it...

As for your ORANGE FEET, they are now going to be perpetually orange! Heh, you were the one who bought the Mojaves dude! You are the one who will have orange feet for the next year! Ask Patrick, his are well worn and still turning his feet orange. And you thought it was bad with the Spires, heheheheh...

See yall Monday (which by the way, I'm thinking of going even earlier this week; say, like 1500ish. Contact me first to confirm if you're thinking the same, before you just show up and I decide to be there at 1600...)

edit: Oh hey! The reason I came to post here in the first place, February is OVER!!! thank goodnessakes... It's been too freekin' cold this month and Les and I were really lucky to get one partial day to sneak out to the Bluff for a couple hours. I feel good about the coming (and actually, 'cus its 0048 at the moment, its already here) March. I hope that statement doesn't jinx me and give us a March and April like we had last year. If we're lucky again this month, maybe we'll get a few days outside!

And just think Les, 6 or 7 weeks down the road, we could be out testing your new lake toy... And 9 weeks from right now we'll be just getting back to camp after a great day of climbing in the high desert of JTree. 8)

Anyway, I'm sure Les'll start a new "March Climbing In Minnesota" thread in the morning and we'll be on our way toward spring! (otherwise I might ;) )

l8er!
