You all so funny, make me laugh, soldier is afraid to confront owner of dog, rants on Internet, trash talks USA, yet you all focus on me , funny funny I must be special. Yes in the USA we have the right to bear arms , Another words we have a right to wear sleeveless shirts and own a weapon. We also love and take care of our dogs at home or at the base of crag. I've said a few times , but I'll try to put in words you might get. Next time handle the situation rite there and then . Call the cops if ya need to , if you can serve your country with a weapon in hand I am sure you could have said " excuse me,,, your dog just bit me " and you might have gotten an apology.

Focusing on a single word is far less painful than an entire paragraph. How are "beer, bear, bare" "all the same word"?? Here's a hint: stop posting when drunk.

I don't blame Kartessa for not necessarily speaking up. I once, politely, told some guy that he should really pick up after his dog that had just pooped on the side of the Gunks carriage road. He (and his girlfriend) reacted with a stream of screaming nonsense and expletives and I thought for sure we were going to get beat up. Only, I'm sure we could have outrun both of them. You can't control how some people react.

I also remember a more recent encounter with an unleashed huge black lab, running ahead of it's owner and straight toward me while crazily barking. I recall the owner yelling toward me, 'Don't worry, he won't hurt you! He just has hates backpacks!' Well, then why are you letting the dog run around loose at a place where everyone is wearing a backpack?

And then there's this one: celticelement wrote: <snip tons of blaming the victim>I am not sure you have more of a 'right' to be there then the dog even if it is grouchy. Yeah, I have no right to go to a climbing area and climb there. Because you're a dick and you left your poor dog, who's freaked out at being left alone while you climb out of sight, seemingly in danger to yourself from it's perspective. So understandably your poor pup is nervous about his territory and his master and is going to react very poorly, and you're never even going to see it. But you think that's cool. It's not. It's the equivalent to taking your five year old and chaining him to a parking meter in a crowded place and walking away. He's scared and can't understand what you're doing and why he can't go with you and what's happening, and unlike your five year old, he can't even understand if you try to explain it. If you can't be with your dog, and it gets nervous when you leave it alone, believe me, it's happier, and so is everyone else at the crag, if you leave your dog at home. GO i'm in total agreement

I will be honest ,it is getting to be fun to see how bad I can annoy you folks by the simplest of misspelling, or punctuation. Especially when it can found else where, by others.
