This guy is totally sure he has BD cams:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Description is also classic: "overall width of unit is narrow for better placement in shallow cracks"

I am fairly sure of that because I have done research and mine are the shapes and colors they come in

I've done my research too, and I'm fairly sure he got taken if he paid $270 for those three.. um... I guess they're cams.

Hi. I'm the current high-bidder. How did I get fooled? 3 Wild Country Forged Friends for $49. What's wrong with that ?

But, I didn't notice the photoshop'ed biner.

what is even more silly is if you look at his "other items" it sshows a set of the same type cams but smaller, and ! as a bonus! you get his home made hex (notice duct tape) for free!!. What a classy person.

If I get them and they turn out to *not* be Wild Country Forged Friends (e.g. some kinda eastern European knock-offs), then the credit card charge is reversed and he gets negative feedback.

why don't you email him and find out. WC doesn't make #4.5 forged friends, do they?

The cams in the picture are #4, #5, and #6.

He has already said that there are no markings on the cams ... which kinda bothers me and hence my comments about them being knock-offs.

Good point about contacting him though.

He has a good selling history so you should be ok, but the guy didn't do any background work to find out what he had. All he had to do was perform a search for 'cams' and he would have known that he doesn't have BD cams. Also, his homemade hex is fucking brutal

You retracted your bid!! The current bid price is now $0.35. How did you do that?

at first, I thought this was just some idiot, but if you look at the item description, he has the exact colors/ranges listed in the pagangear site. You don't get that close with calipers, and i'd never call that orange either. I do like how he talks about "a single-stem stainless-steel cable with long-wearing nylon tube" - sounds like BD cams, but not what he's selling. wierd.

not wierd at all. This guy is trying to scam someone, its a joke or he has some sort of mental retardation.

1) There is no way a regular person with good intentions could look at those cams and any BD cam made in the last 10 years and think you were looking at the same thing.

2) He lists prices... how would not remember if you paid $65 for all your cams or $65 for one of them

3) He has other gear for sale which suggests he is not mental.

My guess is either its a joke or someone stole all this stuff and is trying to get the most out of it... when he found out he bogarted a rack that had the cheapest cams produced he tried to see if he could get a little more meth money..... but in the end this has to be a joke.

He definetely knows what he has, pretending he has no idea.
Here's the same rigid cam http://www.acmeclimbing.com/...=VIEWPROD&ProdID=425 listed as ACME. Who wouldn't spend the extra 5$ for WC.

the seller just emailed me this after i told him that those were BD, and that his hex was going to kill someone:

In reply to:
i looked and the acme website was selling omega pacific so i dont know. i remember researching my cams and i am 100% sure that i found it was Black diamond. i dont know what site i checked. the hex is mostly a way to get it off my gear. it should be just as safe if placed properly. i didnt ever actually use it but i placed it and tried to pull it out and it didnt go.
thanks for telling me anyway

he's a freakin idiot.
