Message boards are the realm of the angry nerd. Get used to it. There are some incredibly knowledgeable climbers here and you'll figure out who they are but I agree it can be a lot of work to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Personally, I don’t know a sole on RC.com. However, I appreciate the perspective I get from the community. It’s not usually difficult to ID a placebo and if you take a look at some profiles I assure you there are competent climbers.
