In reply to: In reply to: ........has anyone alerted the Las Vegas PD for missing person's or John Doe's? I suggest you read this thread from its beginning. Curt Curt I absolutely cannot wait to run into you again so I can reap heavy flogging on your old man ass for such a disrespectfull reply in such a serious topic. One bad day spawns the next. What Counties have been alerted to John's disappearance, specifically? Clark I assume? How about Northern AZ counties. It would really suck if he's sitting in a damn John Doe holding tank till someone can put a name on the body. This man deserves the utmost respect from especially the climbing community. Has anyone alerted the Mags? If so who has and which one's? Who at the Mag did you speak to? This is the most important topic I can possibly imagine at the moment.

It's just that it was already clearly stated that both the Scottsdale and Las Vegas police departments had been contacted. Also, both R&I and Climbing mags have been informed and Matt Samet has told me he will put something on the R&I website about John. Curt

Nice, I will make sure no-one who comes thru Hueco leaves without knowing about this possible tragedy. I know some of his old school buddies from here that can help out with the search as well. I am going to dig up the old article Climbing Mag did on him a few years back. I plan to post it online at the HRR site and hopefully try to raise awareness of John's status. I will link when I have it up.

Site Admins... What is the IP address from his last logon to this site? Perhaps the owner of that computer or the location of that computer may provide some clues to his whereabouts.

I didn't know John was missing... this is bad news indeed. I was just talking about him a few days ago... John is an amazing climber, and so full of knowledge and experience that climbing a day with him is like taking a course in climbing history. I hope and pray he comes back to us safely.

Prayers for he and his family. I know this whole thing looks bad. We had a man that pulled this sort of stunt and just plain disappeared from the face of the planet, left his car and all he owned on the side of the road. He doesn't even know what happened. Anyhow, like 15 years later he get recognized by an old friend who thinks he had passed and that jogged his memory somewhat. He had amnesia from something and had been living complete and total other life. With all the good that he has done I hope that good Karma shines on him and he comes back to us. Think good thoughts.

To everyone who has replied to this thread: In an effort to clean it up a bit, I have deleted all of the "Bump" posts to this point. However, please continue to "bump" this to the front page; even though this thread has been up for a while, people are still finding out about this for the first time today. I have kept any informative posts as well as good wishes. This way, important info will continue to take precedence over the bumps. Thanks very much to all of you who have responded. Please feel free to add "Bump" to keep this up top. I will clean them up every so often. Thanks, Loran BTW, so far I have probably deleted close to 50 "bumps." It is great to see the climbing community showing their support by helping to keep this on the front page!
